Singapore, 17 December 2020 — Arcadier, the world’s fastest-growing marketplace builder technology company, is pleased to announce its partnership with Rapyd, a global Fintech-as-a Service company. As an official Payment Partner, Rapyd will provide its Global Payments Network to Arcadier’s marketplace operators, allowing them to accept local payment methods and improve payment experiences for buyers, while simplifying and accelerating local and international payouts to their existing sellers. The partnership has seen a successful implementation already, working together to deploy retail shopping mall Suntec’s online mall experience via their app Suntec+.
Compared to traditional eCommerce merchants, Marketplaces face a unique set of challenges: they have to integrate multiple Payment experiences for both Buyers and Sellers, such as collecting payments, paying sellers, split payments, subscriptions, foreign exchange, escrow, P2P transfers, and more. Through this partnership, Arcadier marketplaces can access the complete suite of Rapyd payment solutions, including Rapyd Collect, Rapyd Disburse, Rapyd Wallet, and Rapyd Issuing, at preferential rates. Small, medium, and large marketplace operators can now create flexible payment features and services and be differentiated from their competition.
Speaking on the opportunities Rapyd as a Payment Partner will bring to Arcadier users, Dinuke Ranasinghe, Chief Executive Officer at Arcadier, shared: “Our partnership with Rapyd will benefit all Arcadier marketplace operators, no matter their size, type, or location. Rapyd has meticulously researched markets and built a powerful payment network that combines all the ways the world likes to pay and be paid. With a single integration, Arcadier marketplaces can allow sellers in Latin America to accept cash, online shoppers in Asia to pay with their favourite e-wallet, or make payouts to companies and individuals anywhere in the world.”
The partnership has already seen one successful implementation of Rapyd’s payment solution on an Arcadier marketplace, despite the challenges of COVID-19: Suntec, one of the leading mall retailers in Singapore, created a multi-channel digital platform to help their retail tenants, including the launch of a Livestream Virtual Shopping Festival event in June 2020, powered by Arcadier and Rapyd’s capabilities.
Speaking of their experience, Ivan Loh, Director of Business Development for Quantum Interactive (the technology subsidiary of APM Property Management Pte Ltd) stated: “Quantum Interactive was tasked to provide digital solutions to the retailers at Suntec impacted by COVID-19. To do this effectively, we worked closely with trusted technology partners like Arcadier and Rapyd. Arcadier and its team of experts set up a comprehensive, fully-functional online marketplace for Suntec very quickly, complete with an array of payment options offered by Rapyd to meet the online purchase needs of consumers.”
“Working with Arcadier lets Rapyd offer a complete set of Payment tools to Arcadier’s innovative marketplace customers, from new small businesses searching for the best local payment options and those starting to expand their businesses overseas, to those that already function globally and need a fully customised, white-labelled experience as they go ‘hyper-local’. We are delighted to announce with this partnership that Arcadier and Rapyd are dedicated to opening up new opportunities to businesses around the world, particularly in this difficult time,” said Joel Yarbrough, Vice President of Asia Pacific at Rapyd.
As part of the global partnership launch, Arcadier and Rapyd are providing limited-time special offers. Arcadier users are eligible to receive 0% fees on their first S$100,000 of processing volume, valid now through 30 April 2021 and for Asia-based customers. Likewise, all Rapyd customers interested in building a marketplace are eligible to receive 15% off their first 3-month subscription using the code ‘RAPYD15’, or 20% off semi-annual and annual subscriptions using the code ‘RAPYD20’ at Arcadier.
